    Abstract

This study was conducted to understand the relationship between health literacy and health promotion behavior of adolescents. The study collected data was conducted by surveying a 251 second grade middle school students in two middle schools. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program for descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient. The results showed that correlation analysis between health literacy and health promotion behavior revealed a statistically significant positive correlation(r=.242, p<.001). Therefore, we need to develop and widely implement health education programs that are related to adolescent health information to improve health literacy and health promotion behaviors of adolescents.
